Since yesterday, Rio Grande County reported one new COVID-19 case, and Alamosa County reported three new cases. There are currently 25 known active cases in our region.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, please stay at home away from others and call one of the numbers below to be screened for testing. Symptoms of COVID-19 may include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea. Because this virus has the same symptoms as many other illnesses, most people who are tested do not have COVID. However, it is still important that symptomatic people be tested. Not only will that help us reduce the spread of the virus, it will also ensure that we are consistently doing enough testing, which is one of the things we will need to demonstrate in order to move to the next level of reduced restrictions,

For testing of symptomatic individuals only, call:

  • Rio Grande Hospital 719-657-4990
  • SLVHealth Respiratory Clinic 719-589-2511 ext. 9

For symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals who have had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 positive individual, call Valley-Wide Health Systems 719-589-3658 ext. 9 (M-F), 719-589-2562 (Sa/Su)
